ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS WOW!!!! This Barber Battle in Grand Junction, Co was one for the books. Well the only one for my books. I have only been to one Barber Battle since I was licensed on April 4, 2019 of this year.
I have always wanted to participate in battles but since I never acquired my Barber License right out of Barber School, I stayed away. As soon as i got my License I knew i would be attending these battles.
The Wester Slope Barber Battle that was hosted by the WE ARE BLESSED TOUR that Papito BlessedHands has created, was phenomenal.
4 Competitions – The Fastest Fade, COLDEST DESIGN, Best Haircut Period, and the ShowCase Category. Each of these competitions had a multitude of barbers participate.
In the COLDEST DESIGN category that I competed in there were 7 Barbers total. The other competitions had a bigger amount of Barbers competing, nonetheless even if there was one competitor other than myself, it still would have been competition.
I had the chance to meet great people, barbers, influencers, educators and more. I got the chance to meet carlito_thebarber, eddie_cuts, jon_Dome, omitthebarber, and papito_blessedhands.
You can find these guys on Instagram with these exact accounts. These guys taught us during the first three hours of the Battles. They gave the most complete seminar I have ever been too.
Well, the only one I have ever been to and it was great. These guys are people just like all of us, hardworkers and great barbers especially. Thanks guys.
The Competition was Raw guys. Great barbers from all over Colorado. I was able to compete in the Coldest Design Category and I was able to come out in 2nd Place out of 7 Barbers. 1 Hour and 30 minutes is what they gave us to complete the best haircut overall with a great blend and most important of all, A DESIGN.
